We signed the lease on this corner in 2017. After nine years in the making, the day has finally come - and we would like you there with us.
On Thursday, 8 October at 7:33 p.m., we light the exterior sign as Lillie Coit's for the very first time. 7:33 for 1933, the year Coit Tower was dedicated to the citizens of San Francisco, four blocks up the hill - ninety-three years ago to the day.
Alongside our friend Mark Schachern, the Washbag's general manager, we will flip the switch on a sign built out of the original copper bar top of the Washington Square Bar & Grill. Same copper, same bar, back…
