For America’s National Pickle Day, we’re bringing a little New York to Amsterdam with paintings on the walls, food to share and plenty of stories around the table.
Our special guest is Harvey Herman, a 93-year-old New York artist who sold “pickles for a nickel” as a boy. Today he paints them, still eats one every day and swears they’re the secret to his endless energy!
Meet Harvey, explore his pickle paintings and a selection of his other work, and discover the food traditions connecting New York and Amsterdam.
