Notes

A net worth of at least RM 1 billion can replace the income test. It is not an extra requirement, so it is not stored as a net-worth floor. Each dependent pays RM 100,000, about USD 24,489 at the Bank Negara 11:30 midpoint on 9 October 2026, RM 4.0835 per USD. A dependent pass can instead be 10 years for RM 50,000. Children are included below 25. A disabled child has no age limit. A child who has passed 25 must become a principal or take another pass. The principal may sponsor a foreign maid under the ordinary domestic-helper rules. A certificate of good conduct, a medical report and Malaysian or worldwide health insurance are required. The security bond depends on nationality. After 20 years an extension is available at half the participation fee then in force. The pass is a social visit pass and the Immigration documents do not convert it into permanent residence or citizenship. Applications go through an agency registered with Immigration. There is no published participant processing time. The 30 working days in the FAQ are for agency registration.
