Immigration permission for non-EEA students studying full-time courses on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP) or TrustEd Ireland accredited programmes in Ireland. Stamp 2 allows limited part-time work during studies. Requires Irish Residence Permit (IRP) registration after arrival.
International fees vary: undergraduate EUR €10,000–€25,000/yr, postgraduate EUR €10,000–€35,000/yr, medicine up to EUR €50,000+/yr. EU/EEA students may qualify for free fees scheme.
Up to 20 hours/week during term, up to 40 hours/week during holiday periods: June–September inclusive and 15 December–15 January inclusive. Students with Stamp 2A permission cannot work. No separate employment permit needed with Stamp 2.

ILEP being superseded by TrustEd Ireland (International Education Mark) — both valid during transition through 2026. Since January 2025, all first-time IRP registrations are centralized at Burgh Quay, Dublin. Stamp 2 student permission is capped at 7 years; Stamp 1G can bring aggregate student/graduate permission to 8 years for Level 9+ cases. Stamp 2A (for non-ILEP courses) does not allow work.
