Notes and caveats
Great-grandparent route: parent must have been registered on FBR before applicant's birth. Children of Irish-born parents are automatically Irish citizens but must register the birth. Ireland is EU but not Schengen — Irish passport holders have full EU free movement rights but Ireland maintains its own border system (Common Travel Area with UK).
