Ekkamai Road (Sukhumvit Soi 63) runs north from BTS Ekkamai and Gateway Ekamai, with a run of cafes, bistros and craft-beer bars around Soi 10 and Soi 12 and the Big C at Soi 8. Side sois hold mid-range condos and older low-rises that rent for less than neighbouring Thonglor. Ekkamai Road backs up at rush hour and floods in heavy rain.
Best for: Remote workers who want the Thonglor scene of cafes and craft beer at slightly lower rents
