Notes

The Migration Service checklist quotes article 180, as amended by Executive Decree 199 of 7 May 2021. This file is the B/.100,000 route. The same article lets an investment of at least B/.350,000 go straight to permanent residence. That route is a separate record because the wait is different. The provisional permit follows the two-year step in Decree Law 3, article 21. Permanent residence then requires proof that the investment and the forestry registration are still in force. The investment must be maintained for five years after permanent residence is approved, with an annual certificate. If it ends sooner, the Service cancels the residence. Each dependent adds B/.2,000, which may be shown by a local bank reference. The filing charges are B/.250 to the National Treasury and B/.800 to the Migration Service. The checklist requires a lawyer, a criminal record, a health certificate, a public accountant's certificate, registered shares or a contract with the forestry company, and the Ministry of Environment registration. It does not include a work permit. After permanent residence, an absence of more than two years can cancel the stay. Naturalization follows the ordinary five-year rule and requires renunciation of the existing nationality.
