Both tests are required. The last-drawn fixed monthly salary over the past year must be at least S$22,500, or the foreign-currency equivalent. Other income, including non-cash pay, is considered case by case. The applicant also needs at least five years, all within the past ten, in a leading role at a tech company with a valuation or market capitalisation of at least US$500 million or at least US$30 million raised, or at a tech venture-capital firm with at least US$500 million under management. The application fee is S$105 and issuance is S$225. At the European Central Bank reference rate on 9 October 2026, 1 USD was 1.2804 SGD, so S$330 is about USD 258. Each dependant's application is also S$105, and issuance of that pass is S$225. A multiple-journey visa, if needed, is S$30 and is not in the stored fee. Processing is about 8 weeks once the file is complete, and it can take longer. The pass must be issued in person in Singapore within 6 months of approval in principle. It lasts 2 years. The published renewal is another 2 years if the holder meets one of three tests: S$270,000 of assessable income on the latest IRAS assessment, S$100,000 of annual business spending with at least one local professional or three local qualifying employees, or a Singapore technology company that raised more than US$10 million in the past 36 months from recognised investors and in which the holder owns at least 30 percent. A spouse and unmarried children under 21 may receive a dependant's pass. A common-law spouse, parents, unmarried stepchildren under 21 and unmarried handicapped children aged 21 or over may receive a long-term visit pass. From 28 January 2027, the Economic Development Board and the Ministry of Manpower will not accept new or renewal applications. A pass already issued runs until it expires. ICA's published permanent-residence categories do not name Tech.Pass.
