Notes

Category F of Regulation 5 of the Aliens and Immigration Regulations. The Migration Department page posted on 29 December 2025 still states the income floors in euro next to the old Cyprus-pound amounts (CY£5,600 and CY£2,700). Income may be a pension, dividends, deposit interest or rents, and it must come from abroad. The holder may not engage in any business, trade or profession. A spouse and children under 18 may be included. Adding a family member to a permit that is already approved costs €50, plus €70 if that person needs an Alien Registration Certificate. The €500 submission fee covers everyone on the initial application. The same absence rule as the investor permit applies: two years outside Cyprus, or permanent residence abroad, ends the permit, and someone approved while abroad must take up residence within one year. The card is replaced after ten years. The right itself does not expire. Naturalisation follows the ordinary residence rule, a final continuous year plus seven years in the ten years before that, with Greek at B1. Living abroad on this permit does not build that residence. Dollar figures use €1 = $1.12 on 9 October 2026. €9,568 is about $10,716 a year and about $893 a month. €4,613 is about $5,167 a year, stored as income_per_dependent_usd. €500 is about $560.
