Notes

With any dependent the income test is RM 15,000 a month, not an extra amount per person. The processing fee is RM 3,000, non-refundable, and the published renewal fee is RM 1,500. Those are about USD 735 and USD 367 at the Bank Negara 11:30 midpoint on 9 October 2026, RM 4.0835 per USD. Israel, Nigeria and Bangladesh are excluded. Children under 21 are included, as are older children who are full-time students and not employed. Parents and parents-in-law may join. Employment is not allowed on the pass; a separate pass has to be requested. The pass is endorsed for Sabah. Travel to Peninsular Malaysia needs Immigration approval. A maid may be brought under the ordinary rules. Medical insurance is required, and a medical check follows the conditional approval. The programme site does not state a path to permanent residence or citizenship, or a tax exemption.
