Sants retains the feel of an independent working-class town around its market and Carrer de Sants shopping spine, with excellent metro and regional-rail connections. It has fewer tourist distractions and lower rents than central Barcelona while still offering good coffee, cooperative workspaces, and a strong local festival culture.
