Caremar passengers: Naples to Ischia ferry €14.80 or fast boat €21.60; Pozzuoli to Ischia ferry €11.20; Ischia to Procida ferry €9.40 or fast boat €10.50. Landing fees are €3.50 at Procida and €5 at Capri. Tickets bought before the travel day add 12% (at least €1), and an online ticket adds €1. An Ischia to Capri passenger fare was not on this Caremar table. 8

Corporate Tax
IRES is 24% and ordinary IRAP is 3.9%. Regions can move the IRAP rate by up to 0.92 points. For 2025 only, PwC describes a cut of IRES from 24% to 20% for companies that reinvest profits. IRAP no longer applies to self-employed professionals. 14 13

26% on dividends paid to resident individuals. The same 26% is the base withholding on yields from loans and securities paid by an Italian resident. Dividends to resident companies are generally exempt. Treaties can lower the rate. 16

Tax residents are taxed on worldwide income. Residence follows 183 days or the centre of vital interests, as summarized in the Italy country prep. Non-residents are taxed only on Italian-source income. 13 18
Highest Income Tax Bracket
43% national IRPEF on income above €50,000 in 2026. The bands under that are 23% up to €28,000 and 33% from €28,001 to €50,000. Regional tax is generally 1.23% to 3.33% and the municipal surcharge is 0% to 0.9%. 13

22% standard IVA. Reduced rates of 10% and 4% apply to listed goods and services. 15
Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) Rules
Yes. A controlled foreign company is in scope when the effective rate is under 15% and more than one third of revenue is passive. From the 2024 tax year, audited and certified accounts can use that 15% figure as a simplified threshold. 17
Property Tax
IMU is not due on a main home except luxury cadastral categories A/1, A/8 and A/9. Other homes use a basic rate of 0.86% of cadastral value, which the comune can change. PwC also prints 0.5% as a basic rate for a principal home. TARI is charged separately for waste. The comune of Ischia 2026 resolution was not opened. 23 15
Property Transaction Tax
When the sale is not charged VAT, registration tax is 9% (minimum €1,000), plus €50 mortgage tax and €50 cadastral tax. First-home relief cuts registration tax to 2%, or VAT to 4% when the seller charges VAT. VAT on a new home is otherwise 10%, or 22% for categories A/1, A/8 and A/9. The Italy country prep records an optional Impatriate exemption of 50% of qualifying Italian-source employment and self-employment income up to €600,000 for five years. Eligibility conditions apply; this is not a blanket exemption for digital nomads. 13
