About Talat Noi

A small riverside quarter south of Yaowarat, with Chinese clan houses, auto-parts workshops, street art and cafes such as Hong Sieng Kong in a 200-year-old trading house. Time Out ranked it the world's 14th coolest neighbourhood in September 2026. Rentals are few, many cafes close by 6 pm, and the nearest MRT is a ten-minute walk away at Hua Lamphong.

Best for: Nomads who want to live among riverside shophouses, street art and heritage cafes rather than condo towers
