About Chinatown

Yaowarat and Charoen Krung roads, with the Sampeng Lane wholesale market, Wat Traimit's golden Buddha, Wat Mangkon and the stalls that make Yaowarat Bangkok's best-known street-food street after dark. MRT Wat Mangkon puts Silom and Sukhumvit within reach, and the bars of Soi Nana by Hua Lamphong have become a cocktail scene. Most housing is in old shophouses without lifts or pools, and the pavements are packed.

Best for: Food lovers who want Yaowarat's street food every night and do not mind noise, heat and old buildings
