About Charoen Krung
Bangkok's old riverside road through Bang Rak, from River City and the Grand Postal Building, home of TCDC, south towards Saphan Taksin, with Warehouse 30, the Mandarin Oriental and the Bang Rak market. Galleries, Michelin-listed restaurants and shophouse bars mix with Muslim and Chinese family businesses. There is only one BTS station, few supermarkets and almost no parks.
Best for: Creative workers and couples who want galleries, riverside heritage and destination restaurants over malls
