Replaced the original Economic Investment Certificate (EIC) on March 31, 2023. Investment must be maintained at $2.5M minimum for 5 years, with 90 days/year physical presence for those 5 years. Investment categories: residential/commercial real estate, Bermuda Sinking Fund or Trust Fund contributions, registered charity donations, equity in existing Bermuda-based businesses, new business launches, or Minister-approved social ventures. Holder can also seek employment. BMD is pegged 1:1 to USD.
