No strict income or investment requirements for basic temporary residency as of 2025. Only need to be 18+, clean record, no international watchlist presence. A bank deposit of ~$5,000 in a Paraguayan bank is typically sufficient. Must not be absent 12+ consecutive months. For citizenship: 183 days/year for 3 years of permanent residency, learn national anthem, pass Spanish/Guarani and civics exams. Dual citizenship unofficially tolerated despite oath of renunciation — official treaties only with Spain and Italy.
