Notes
Article 86 of the migration regulation sets the S/ 500,000 floor. A resolution of the Superintendencia could change it; the April 2024 change-of-status page and the regulation still print S/ 500,000. The capital must go through a bank supervised by the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP. Buying existing shares does not count. A new company's public deed must be no more than three months old. A capital increase needs the deed, the company's latest annual income-tax filing and its operating licence.
The first grant is requested from outside Peru and costs S/ 57.60, payment code 07567. A change of status from inside Peru costs S/ 161.40, code 07568. Each one-year extension costs S/ 20.20 and is decided within five business days. The dollar figures use SUNAT's 9 October 2026 sale rate of S/ 3.453 per US dollar. A family member is not included in that fee. Familiar de residente, filed separately, costs S/ 58.80 from abroad.
Permanent residence is a later change of status after three consecutive years as an investor. That step also asks for at least S/ 55,000 of gross annual income and payroll evidence of ten jobs for Peruvians. Naturalization remains a separate procedure. Under the nationality law still in force it requires two consecutive years of legal residence. Law 32421 is not in force.
An absence of more than 183 consecutive days in a 365-day period can cancel the quality. The same cap applies to the three-year count toward permanent residence, unless a longer stay abroad was authorized. Tax domicile and worldwide taxation follow the ordinary income-tax rules and are not waived by this visa.
