Renewal for another five years requires the category 1 criteria to continue and at least 30 months in Saudi during the term, consecutive or not. Leaving the startup does not end the permit before its expiry. Bankruptcy does not end it before expiry either, and renewal still depends on the category 1 rules. The holder may nominate two teammates for Special Talent Premium Residency without that product's usual criteria. The establishment is exempt from Nitaqat for its first three years of operation.
