About Huai Khwang

Both sides of Ratchadaphisek Road from Central Rama 9 north past MRT Thailand Cultural Centre and Huai Khwang to Sutthisan, with the Huai Khwang night market, the Jodd Fairs market and the Chinese restaurants of Pracha Rat Bamphen Road. Studios start around 10,000 baht a month and the MRT reaches Sukhumvit in under ten minutes. Pavements are narrow, green space is almost absent and the Ratchada strip has a well-known massage-parlour scene.

Best for: Budget nomads who want cheap rents on the MRT, late-night food and a mostly local crowd
