Naturalization is available after two years of residence under Ley 346. The government currently instructs applicants to have temporary or permanent residence, remain continuously and legally in Argentina without any foreign trips, and file through DNM's RaDEX system. The Cámara Nacional Electoral declared DNU 366/2025 null in a case on 2 July 2026; the publicly available government application page still states the DNU requirements, so the operative nationwide rules remain uncertain.
The DNM service page continues to list two years of continuous legal residence without any exit, proof of lawful means, Argentine criminal-record clearance and online filing through RaDEX, and says applicants need temporary or permanent residence. However, on 2 July 2026 the Cámara Nacional Electoral declared DNU 366/2025 null in the case before it and reaffirmed electoral-court jurisdiction for citizenship cases. The federal prosecutor's report does not establish whether that ruling has nationwide effect, and the DNM page remains live and unchanged. This record retains the published DNM requirements pending authoritative clarification; do not treat the no-exit condition or administrative forum as settled nationwide law.
