Transitory residence for remote services to people or companies abroad, under article 24(h) of Migration Law 25.871 and DNM Disposition 758/2022. Only nationals of countries that do not need a tourist visa. Up to 180 days, extendable once for the same term if at least half of the first period was spent in Argentina. There is no statutory income minimum. A degree is not required. The activity may be employment or independent work, shown with a contract, a company letter, or income or fee receipts, plus one occupational reference. Apply from abroad online for a TIE 24H, or file a visa at a consulate. Inside Argentina the residence is in person, not through RaDEX: email in Buenos Aires City, or the local migration office elsewhere. Do not enter before a TIE is decided. The certificate is valid three months for its first use, and the 180 days start on entry. Berlin states a 10-business-day decision; Toronto says 10 to 15 business days for a complete file. Consulates publish the abroad charge as 200 consular units, itemised as 120 to Migraciones and 80 at the consulate: USD 200 where the unit is a dollar, and EUR 200 in the eurozone. Inside Argentina the schedule is in UMSM, and 1 UMSM is ARS 1,000: 100 UMSM to switch from tourist status, 16 or 32 UMSM for a transitory residence (MERCOSUR and associated states, or other nationalities), and 20 or 40 UMSM to extend an article 24(h) stay. At the official selling rate of ARS 1,540 per USD on 8 October 2026, 100 UMSM is about USD 65. The in-country residence and the extension ask for an Argentine criminal-record certificate; the extension page also asks for one from the country of origin. The pre-entry TIE file does not list a criminal record. Entry in any category requires a sworn declaration of purpose and of health insurance. This stay is not the temporary residence that counts toward permanent residence, and the published nomad procedure has no dependent route.
