Still open on the tourism board as a temporary work/tourism visa: 6 months, renewable once for another 6 months. Nationals of Europe, North America, the CPLP and ECOWAS (CEDEAO) only. The published test is a minimum average bank balance over the previous 6 months of EUR 1,500 for one person or EUR 2,700 for a family, not a salary. Visa fee EUR 20 per person, due again on renewal, plus an airport fee of EUR 34 per person once on arrival. Apply on the online form, then show the approval letters at the airport. The page says remote workers are exempt from income tax. The 2026 budget law limits that exemption to one year for non-residents working remotely for someone outside Cabo Verde; a longer stay uses the non-habitual resident regime. The page still asks for a negative COVID-19 PCR test or a full vaccination course. A separate residence visa for remote work is in the immigration law and is not this 6-month program.
