Apply online on the Seychelles Electronic Border System and choose Workcation. That starts a Workcation Visitor Permit, which a special team reviews. It is for an employee, a freelancer, or someone running their own company, working remotely for up to a year. There is no published income minimum. The form asks for bank statements showing funds for the stay, a passport valid for six months, medical and travel insurance, an onward ticket, and confirmed accommodation. The charge on that portal is the Travel Authorisation fee, per person, including a child aged 12 or under. Standard processing is €10 and about 24 hours, premium is €30 and about 6 hours, and expedited is €70 for an adult or €30 for a child aged 12 or under and about 60 minutes. The published prices exclude bank charges. At the European Central Bank reference rate of 1.1186 US dollars per euro on 8 October 2026, the latest rate available on 9 October 2026, €10 is about $11. The permit does not allow work for a Seychelles employer. That needs a Gainful Occupation Permit. The residence permit is a separate application. Immigration's ordinary visitor's permit is issued for up to three months and can be extended, for SCR 5,000 per further three months, to 12 months in total. The Workcation text says "up to a year" and does not say whether that year is granted on arrival or by those extensions. The old program site, workcation.seychelles.travel, no longer loads. In June 2023 it still described a one-time fee of €45 tied to the Health Travel Authorisation, and stays from 30 days to one year. Seychelles taxes on a source basis. There is no published tax exemption for this permit. Under section 2 of the Business Tax Act 2009, an individual is tax resident at 183 days. From 1 January 2026 the tourism environmental sustainability levy, which is not this fee, is SCR 75 per person per night in a medium accommodation of 24 to 50 rooms and SCR 100 in a large accommodation, on a yacht, or at an island resort. Accommodations of 1 to 24 rooms are no longer charged. Children aged 12 and under are exempt.
