Notes

The applicant registers with the Registrar of Businesses or operates as a one-person company, and may employ one local administrative employee. Business income must reach MUR 2 million a year from the third year of registration. Renewal from the fifth year needs MUR 3 million a year. A curriculum vitae and academic or professional qualifications are on the document list. No particular degree or number of years of experience is set. A 20-year permanent residence permit is available after five years, with annual business income of at least MUR 3 million for those five years, or MUR 15 million in total. The same fee, family, medical, five-working-day, tax and citizenship rules apply as for the investor occupation permit. Dependents cannot work unless they obtain their own permit. There is no published minimum stay. The amounts are published in US dollars, so the dollar fields are not a conversion.
