Notes

Article 180, as quoted by the Migration Service and amended by Executive Decree 199 of 7 May 2021, offers this amount as permanent residence "en forma automática". It is not the B/.100,000 provisional route and not the B/.80,000 temporary permit. The same documents apply: a lawyer, criminal record, health certificate, accountant's certificate, registered shares or a forestry contract, Ministry of Environment registration, and bank proof of a transfer of at least B/.350,000. The charges are B/.250 to the National Treasury and B/.800 to the Migration Service. Each dependent adds B/.2,000 of solvency, which a local bank reference may show. The five-year holding period runs from approval of permanent residence. An annual certificate is required. Ending the investment sooner cancels the residence. The checklist does not include a work permit. An absence of more than two years can cancel permanent residence. Naturalization follows the ordinary five-year rule and requires renunciation of the existing nationality.
