Residence permit for a non-citizen aged 45 or over who has a pension, or other assets or income, outside Fiji and who will not work or run a business in Fiji. The permit is approved for three years. Six months are issued first. The remaining two and a half years follow a remittance of FJD 100,000 or a property purchase of at least that value.

A legal spouse and children under 18 can be included. A de facto partner, or a child aged 18 or over, must apply separately for a co-extensive residence permit. The checklist asks for proof of pension. No dollar income floor is published. Extensions are considered on merit, and the extension length is not published. The application fee is FJD 650.05 and the dependant fee is FJD 185. Naturalisation under the Citizenship of Fiji Act 2009 requires lawful presence for five of the ten years before the application. Fiji allows multiple citizenship. There is no permanent-residence permit in force.
