Cambodia has no digital nomad visa. Remote workers use the Ordinary visa, type E (ទិដ្ឋាការធម្មតា), which Sub-Decree No. 123 also calls a business visa. The official e-Visa is single-entry, costs USD 35, must be used within 3 months of issue, and allows a 1-month stay. Published processing is 3 business days. The portal checklist is a passport valid more than six months, a photo and a credit card. There is no income threshold. Missions also issue an electronic E visa, and visa on arrival is still offered. From 3 October 2026, missions no longer put a sticker in the passport. A portal e-Visa is accepted only at the published e-Visa entry points. An embassy-issued electronic visa is described as valid at all international entry points. Thailand land borders were closed on the Berlin embassy list of 3 October 2026. Inside Cambodia, the General Department of Immigration extends an E visa. The business extension (EB) is for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. The Berlin embassy describes 1- and 3-month extensions as single-entry and 6- and 12-month extensions as multiple-entry. EB does not give the right to work. Labour Law Article 261 still requires a work permit and an employment card. An EB file usually needs a Cambodian employment letter, or business registration for a self-employed person. Dependents need proof of relationship and a letter from the holder. Extension fees are set by inter-ministerial prakas and are not on the e-Visa page. A resident, meaning someone with a residence or principal place of abode in Cambodia, or present for more than 182 days in any 12 months ending in the tax year, is taxed on Cambodian-source and foreign-source income and salary. Resident monthly salary tax is progressive from 0% to 20%, with a credit for foreign tax paid on foreign-source salary. There is no nomad exemption.
